    How do I setup Windows Live Mail with my Slamdot email account using IMAP?

    The steps below are for setting up your Slamdot email account inside Microsoft Windows Live Mail using IMAP.

    1. In the Windows Live Mail navigation column, click Add e-mail account.
    2. In the Email Address field, enter your full email address.
    3. In the Password field, enter your password.
    4. Select the checkbox option to Remember this password.
    5. In the Display Name field, enter how you’d like your name to display when sending email (typically your first and last name).
    6. Select the checkbox option to Manually configure server settings for e-mail account.
    7. Click Next.
    8. Select IMAP as the Server type.
    9. In the Incoming Server address field, enter mail.yourdomain.com.
    10. In the Incoming server Port field, enter 143.
    11. Do NOT select the checkbox to require a secure connection (SSL). This needs to be disabled.
    12. For the Log on using drop-down field, make sure Clear text authentication is selected.
    13. In the Login ID field, enter your full email address.
    14. In the Outgoing Server address field, enter mail.yourdomain.com.
    15. In the Outgoing server Port field, enter 25 or 587.
    16. Do NOT select the checkbox to require a secure connection (SSL). This needs to be disabled.
    17. Select the My outgoing server requires authentication checkbox option.
    18. Click Next.
    19. Click Finish.
