    How do I setup Outlook 2010 with my Slamdot email account using IMAP?

    The steps below are for setting up your Slamdot email account inside Microsoft Outlook 2010 using IMAP.

    1. In Microsoft Outlook, click the File tab, and select Info on the left.
    2. On the Account Information page, click the Account Settings button, and select Account Settings from the drop-down menu.
    3. In the Account Settings window on the E-mail tab, click New.
    4. On the next page in the Add New Account window, do not enter any information, and select the Manually configure server settings or additional server types option, and then click Next.
    5. Click Internet E-mail , and then click Next.
    6. On the Internet E-Mail Settings window, enter the following information: Your NameYour first and last name.E-mail AddressYour email address.Account TypeSelect “IMAP” from the drop-down list.Incoming Mail Server_mail.yourdomain.com_Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)_mail.yourdomain.com_User NameYour full email address again (must include @yourdomain.com)PasswordYour email account password.
    7. Leave Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) unchecked.
    8. Click More Settings.
    9. In the Internet E-mail Settings window, go to the Outgoing Server tab.
    10. Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
    11. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
    12. Go to the Advanced tab, and change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port to 587.
    13. Click OK.
    14. Click the Test Account Settings button under Test Settings. If everything is setup properly, all tests should run successfully and pass.
    15. If the tests run fine, then click Next.
    16. Click Finish.
