On Thursday, October 15, we held our Halloween & 10th Anniversary party and it was a great success! First off - ten years! GO US! Ten years is a huge milestone for any company, particularly in our industry, and we’re all extremely proud and grateful for all of the support of our friends, family and community.
Having a combination Anniversary/Halloween party just made sense - because man, do we love to decorate! Being web designers, we take particular glee in covering everything with … webs! (I assure you we’re better with the internet kind - we may have managed to get a little tangled with the Halloween decoration kind!) We had a lot of fun covering our store with spiders and bloody handprints and mummies (though whether the Talking Toilet Mummy should stay activated all month long may have been a slight controversy) and every other spooky thing you can think of. Our decorations were supplemented by a couple of gorgeous and Halloweeny balloon pedestals made for us by Above the Rest Event Designs. The place looked awesome - and if you end up having a reason to visit us before Halloween, we’ve still got it decked out!
We had a great turnout for the party, and a great time was had by all! Rothchild provided excellent catering (those meatballs … man, those meatballs), our neighbors at The Casual Pint Northshore provided the much beloved beer, and ThunderRoad Wine & Spirits provided the appropriately spooky (varieties such as Poizin and Casillero del Diablo) wine selection. There was more than enough food and drink to go around, although our supply of Moonshine Mountain Cookies did not last long!
Our friends at Knox Talk Radio were here to broadcast from the event, and they did an amazing job despite the fact that we put them in the same room as the alcohol … I think it was a little bit of a challenge maintaining quiet in there! (I might have been signaled to keep it down at one point during a wine run … )
Along with the refreshments, chatting, networking and general schmoozing, we also had several games. John Haney’s Tudor costume won the costume contest, winning him an iTunes gift card as well as a super spiffy trophy. Dennis Hough came the closest at guessing the number of candy corns in the jar, winning a tin of popcorn and a dvd of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. The grand door prize, an Apple Watch, was taken home by the lucky Chris Owens.
Thank you to the Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce for the support and participation, both at the event and through our years of membership!
Another big thank you to Colby McLemore for taking such awesome, vibrant and fun pictures at the event! Have a look at Colby’s work in the gallery below - and then give him a call for your next event!
Finally, many thanks to everyone who came by - you guys really made our evening. Everyone who came in costume - you looked fantastic and we loved seeing the variety of characters from Maleficent to Supergirl. Have a safe and happy Halloween and we’ll see you at our next party!
